For example, when a poodle met a chihuahua for the first time, he was baffled. “Are you sure you’re a dog?” he asked. “You look more like a rat with big ears.” The chihuahua was offended and snapped back. “Of course I’m a dog! You’re the one who looks like a mop with legs.”
Another case was when a bulldog met a dachshund. He couldn’t believe his eyes. “How do you walk with such short legs?” he wondered. “And why is your body so long?” The dachshund was annoyed and replied. “How do you breathe with such a flat face? And why is your head so big?”
These are just some of the examples of how dogs question the ancestry of their fellow dog. It seems that they have forgotten that they all belong to the same species, Canis lupus familiaris. Maybe they should focus more on their similarities than their differences, and learn to appreciate the diversity of their kind.
